I have been meaning to paint some of the icons of Maidenhead for a while now. I often visit the Cliveden National Trust site and there are a few locations there that are tempting to paint. The main building, some of the views, and obviously with my penchant for clocks, the clock tower! The clock view is framed nicely with a large box hedge, so I just couldn't resist this view and adding in some gold leaf to help it stand out
Painted using acrylics, tippex and marker pen and gold leaf on 11oz, 100% cotton duck weave, triple primed canvas stretched over a wooden box frame (3.5cm deep).
On a box canvas with painted edges so framing is not required. Comes with an authentication certificate on the back of the painting.
